As with the changing of the leaves, a dip in the (smart) thermostat, and weekly football-fueled bacchanalia, autumn’s arrival also brings Amazon’s ritual announcement of new devices. This year’s crop included a few new smart-home product announcements, such as Ring, Blink, Echo and Fire TV devices, but otherwise was heavy on added features and improvements to existing devices. We’ve highlighted the standout new products below, along with some of the more tantalizing bits we hope to get our hands on to test in the coming weeks and months.
